Hungary forces 'traditional values' disclaimer on LGBT books

Hungary continues Poland's trajectory of homophobia as it was revealed that a lesbian children's books was forced to adopt a disclaimer.

“Wonderland Is For Everyone”is a children's fairytale anthology, published by lesbian group, Labrisz. The book is said to have stories that include some gay themes, such as a poem about a prince that marries a prince.

“The book is sold as a fairytale, called so on its cover and designed accordingly, but it hides the fact that it depicts behaviour inconsistent with traditional gender roles,” the Government Office in Budapest said in a statement.

This news story is part of a wider pattern of homophobia and discrimination by Victor Orban.
